Deployments Confirm ACCESS’ Position as Leading Global Provider of Integrated Software Solutions for i-mode Alliance Operators and Handset Vendors

TOKYO, Japan – November 11, 2005 – ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, today announced that O2, one of Europe’s leading mobile operators, has selected ACCESS’ NetFront browser, JV-Lite2 Java solution, and MMS Messaging client for deployment in handsets offered through O2’s newly launched i-mode services in the UK and Ireland. As part of the agreement, ACCESS will also provide its Compact Viewer Plus, a preview and test environment for i-mode content developers.

ACCESS’ NetFront browser, JV-Lite2, and MMS Client were designed from the ground up to function as an integrated solution that shares resources and memory and which delivers a pre-tested, Java-enabled mobile browsing solution that is significantly more compact and efficient than solutions from multiple vendors. As an i-mode solution, NetFront browser, JV-Lite2 and MMS client ensure tight interoperability optimized specifically for the i-mode service while providing mobile operators and their handset partners with seamless i-mode deployments that reduce overall development costs and speed time-to-market. ACCESS’ NetFront browser, JV-Lite2 and MMS client for i-mode subscribers has been proven with millions of i-mode handset deployments outside Japan.

“ACCESS have supplied a robust, integrated device-based software platform for the delivery of the O2 i-mode user experience which is fast, and performs consistently across all of our launch handsets” said Dave Williams, O2 Group’s Chief Technology Officer. “We look forward to collaborating with ACCESS on further innovations to an already well-proven software-suite in support of our drive to establish the best i-mode services in Europe.”

“We’re pleased to have partnered with O2 to help facilitate the deployment of handsets for their new i-mode services in the UK and Ireland. ACCESS is committed to helping leading mobile operators like O2 and their handset partners deploy i-mode services in a timely and efficient manner,” said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS.

O2’s i-mode service deployment represents the latest i-mode deployment in Europe. ACCESS’ extensive experience providing advanced mobile Internet technology solutions for mobile operators throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, ensures that O2 subscribers will enjoy a rich, powerful, and fun mobile Internet experience.
