ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 features an advanced UI engine and middleware that enable licensees to create state-of-the-art user experiences with Hollywood-style graphics and transition effects with added support for 2.5 and 3D graphics environments. Enhanced flexibility allows different applications, from different environments, to co-exist and be concurrently executed. Content–such as contacts, appointments, videos or photos–can be rendered anywhere, not just within one application.

ACCESS will be demonstrating ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 running on Texas Instruments Zoom™ OMAP34x-II Mobile Development Platform in both the ACCESS and Texas Instruments booths during Mobile World Congress as well as at the LiMo Foundation booth.

ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 delivers on ACCESS’ commitment to provide LiMo compliance to help OEMs/ODMs, operators and application developers reduce development requirements and time-to-market for LiMo devices. Furthering its support for the LiMo Foundation and the advancements of mobile Linux innovation, ACCESS has also contributed components to the LiMo Reference Platforms that will further ease the deployment of sophisticated and differentiated LiMo devices. ACCESS’ Strategic Contributing Offer (SCO) is a subset of ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0.

By wielding the full power of the Eclipse IDE software development platform, the ACCESS Linux Platform v3.0 SDK runs in the ACCESS Linux Platform™ Simulator. Also available on the ACCESS™ Developer Network (ADN) website at http://www.accessdevnet.com, the SDK allows users to create user interfaces with GUI builder tools.
