Oberhausen, Germany, September 4, 2013 − ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced that IBC (ACCESS stand 14.101) will see it demonstrate how its NetFront™ Living Connect DLNA Technology Component™ and NextFront™ Browser NX solutions are driving multi-screen monetization.

ACCESS will host on-stand demonstrations to show how operators and content providers can benefit from DLNA and HTML5 to better control and monetize media sharing in the connected home. The IBC demonstrations show how ACCESS provides solutions that enable operators to monetize multi-screen through:

  • Sharing premium content between set-tops, TVs, smartphones, tablets and other CE devices
  • Enabling and measuring deeper consumer interaction with content, operators, broadcasters and brands
  • Reducing the cost and time to deploy multi-screen monetization

ACCESS and partner Zenterio will demonstrate how the integration of ACCESS’ solutions in Zenterio’s independent operating system for TV client devices enables operators and content providers to deliver enriched media sharing experiences, including LiveTV streams and Personal Video Recorder (PVR) content via managed set-top-boxes or unmanaged connected devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones. ACCESS’ solutions can also be integrated with operator Conditional Access systems for additional features such as enhanced reporting and ‘studio confident’ content protection.

In addition to the demonstrations, ACCESS will provide complementary versions of a Parks Associates whitepaper examining the ways in which security and multi-screen interact for operators, the content industry and the consumer. The whitepaper emphasizes the importance of usability, which plays an increasingly big part in the User Experience as consumers expect to view the content of their choice on any device at any time, and anywhere, which adds more complexity for operators and content providers looking for ways to monitor media sharing habits and better monetize them.
